It has been empirically confirmed that neither socio-political nor economic factors can serve as a permanent basis for a person’s psychological well-being. In turn, this prompted the researchers to pay attention, first of all, to the problems of ethical, cultural and ideological nature and their connection with the psychological well-being of the individual. The ideological basis is one of the components of psychological well-being, a socio-psychological phenomenon that undoubtedly influences the peculiarities of personal well-being.
Psychological well-being must be interpreted in the context of interconnectedness and relationships with others, society as a whole, the world, and worldview. Well-being consists not only of the attitude towards the external objective result of activity, but also of its internal effects in the form of self-esteem, self-worth, integrity. This perspective opens the prospect of analyzing the psychological picture of psychological well-being, which in itself is important for understanding the meaningful organization of this phenomenon, the identification of those entities of the personality, which are largely determined by the conditions of socialization, its situational and deep traditional, deepening the history of life and relationships generations.
In order to build a holistic model of psychological well-being, one must consider one’s personality in the context of one’s socio-psychological characteristics, as well as dominant relationships to oneself and the world. Not so significant here is the definition, in fact, of the components of psychological well-being, as the creation of a holistic system of understanding their interactions with the outside world and relationships with other people. In determining the internal structure of psychological well-being and its relationship with the socio-psychological characteristics of the individual, as well as the parameters that determine the relationship of personality, may be a key task for understanding the essence of the process of human realization in the world, his individual worldview, building confidence in the world, mental state in which a person will be able to feel their own potential, as well as the wealth of spiritual content. His direction and methods of exercise may be related to existential and spiritual experiences.
