GENDER FEATURES OF STEREOTYPES PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES OF YOUNG PEOPLE

The article describes the essence of the concept of "gender stereotypes", as well as highlights the two most common and universal groups of social stereotypes of men and women, which are the most common in modern society. These groups include a group of masculinity femininity stereotypes, as well as a group that identifies differences between different sexes in employment by special forms of activity. The problem of the choice of persons of youth age belonging to representatives of different sex, certain professional sphere is actualized.
The paper also describes an experimental study to identify gender differences in career choices for male and female youth. Some data on the sample of the study are given, the methodological toolkit on which it was carried out, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained data are presented, as well as the results of the verification of the choice of the strategy of carrying out the experimental work regarding the interdependence of the relations using the Spearman rs criterion. According to the analysis of the results of the research, there is a connection between the identity of a person to a certain psychological sex (femininity, masculinity, androgyny) and his professional interests. It turns out that a person’s interest in a particular field of professional activity is determined by his gender affiliation, in which he acquires a certain stereotyping of the manifestation of these characteristics.
