The article highlights the theoretical analysis of the psychological peculiarities of the negative influence of economic deprivation on the social and psychological genesis of the person. It is stated, that the material restrictions act as a basic factor in psychological discomfort of the personality, because unemployment, financial disadvantages and status deprivation cause impotence and depression. The economically deprived person feels bewilderment, anxiety, irritability, frustration, aggression, fear for themselves and their relatives as a result of this.Inability to meet the basic personal and social needs, lack of economic resources, the sense of subjective poverty unbalance self-awareness and activity, cause psycho-emotional changes and crises. Socio- economic deprivation stimulates the intentions to migration of the personality and it destroys the family relationships and produces psycho-emotional burnout. The various types of economic deprivation (basic, regulatory, relative) have a great negative impact on the psychological state of the potential migrants. A person in a situation of permanent poverty is able to experience the existential chaos, feeling of despair and helplessness in the face of life’s difficulties, spiritual devastation and doom, as well as anxiety-frustrational despondency in their personal potentials and capabilities. Feelings of neglect due to indifferent and cynical treatment to financially unsecured people and indifferent society in the improving the state of affairs, can induce a deprived person to loneliness, alienation, seclusion and other depressive feelings.
