The article considers the theoretical and practical approach to the formation of gender identity in adolescence in view of the different social conditions of identification and the results of empirical research on the specifics of gender identification. This topic is marked by the importance of social conditions for the development of orphans: emotional, social, mental deprivation. In such unacceptable conditions, the problem of formation of social and personal identity becomes especially important. The process of formation of moral and value beliefs acquires the greatest importance at teen age, as there is a change of identification images. It is known that the formation of gender identity of adolescents occurs in the process of socialization with an emphasis on "mirroring" the dominant gender culture. The results of our study present a specific situation of personal development for adolescents raised in families, public boarding schools and family-type orphanages.
Specific features of gender identity and the process of its formation are practically ignored, although children who have the status of orphans and are brought up outside the family belong to the risk group, as they form an undifferentiated type of gender identity, which negatively affects further socialization and adaptation in society. In this article, the assumption that the structure of gender identity is empirically explored, which includes emotional, evaluative, behavioral, cognitive and personal components, has substantive, quantitative and qualitative differences in adolescents living in different social conditions. Thus, insufficient study and research of this problem in combination with high significance determines its relevance, as the correction of negative personality characteristics is possible only with comprehensive psychological and pedagogical support for the development of gender identity of adolescents will help reduce emotional instability and overcome the main blocks of socially acceptable gender patterns.
