Abstract

In the paper a need to implement and realize a competency-based approach in education concerning achievement of meaningful and integrated results, development of general, special and program competencies of future managers of the non-productive sector while studying in a higher education institution is substantiated. The importance of creating optimal conditions for the formation and development of professional competence of highly qualified specialists, that are able to carry out professional activities based on mastering basic management concepts and principles, to research and to analyse processes of formation and effective functioning in a competitive environment, in the process of providing their training for various industries of Ukraine is emphasized. The successful implementation of the competence approach in higher education is realized through a harmonious combination of fundamental and professional orientation of education, development of scientific research, integration into the European educational, scientific and economic community. The results of an empirical study of a difficult problem to solve, namely the professional competence development of future managers of the non-productive sector in higher education institutions are presented. The need for its solution has led to the choice of those research directions, the theoretical and empirical implementation of which will be useful for national psychological science. It is noted that the implementation of diagnostic monitoring of the processes of formation and realization of higher education seekers' potential is a promising way to conduct the psychological research in the field of professional and personal development of future specialists. At the stage of empirical research, a standardized set of psychodiagnostic tools is used in order to analyse the content and structural components of professional competence of future managers of the non-productive sector. The paper highlights the organizational process of the observational experiment, where the factorization of the original array of empirical data of the subjects is conducted in order to study the factor structure of their personal, motivational, value, emotional, volitional characteristics and assumptions about the dynamic nature of the development of content-structural components of their professional competence in the process of professional training in higher education institutions are proved. On the basis of the designed factor model of content-structural components of professional competence of future managers of non-productive sector, the factors of its development are substantiated. The determining nature of the influence of personal-semantic, value-motivational and reflective factors on the development of professional competence of future managers of the non-productive sector is confirmed. The typology of content-structural components of their professional competence, being tested depending on the nature and specificity of expression is determined empirically. The computer package of statistical programs SPSS for Windows (version 19) is used to implement all stages of empirical research using a certain set of mathematical and statistical procedures. Consequently, the data that indicate the need to identify, justify and implement organizational and pedagogical conditions to increase the effectiveness of the process of developing the professional competence of future managers of the non-productive sector in higher education institutions are obtained.
