Abstract

In the current crisis period, the role of youth subcultures in shaping youth behavior is of particular importance. Young people are looking for ways to express themselves, find meaning and true belonging, and subcultures can influence their actions and beliefs. The purpose of the article is to study modern subcultures formed in crisis conditions, as well as their influence on the behavior of young people. Research methods: literature analysis, study of scientific research, surveys and observations. The results of the study show that youth subcultures can have both a positive and a negative impact on youth and the population as a whole, while creating certain threats to the state. Сertain youth subcultures can become a platform for radicalization and extremist ideologies that pose a threat to stability and national security. The state is faced with the task of countering these negative influences in order to prevent young people from engaging in harmful activities or being recruited into extremist groups. Such subcultures require careful monitoring and measures aimed at preventing their growth and potential harm to society. Іn times of war, the state faces the risk of losing the nation's moral and spiritual well-being, as youth subcultures may promote deviant behavior or undermine social cohesion. The influence of subcultures that glorify violence or engage in criminal activity can erode the values and fabric of society, affecting both young people and the wider population. Not all youth subcultures lead to negative consequences. Some subcultures can create a positive environment around the crisis, providing young people with opportunities for self-expression, a sense of belonging and a support network. These subcultures foster creativity, activism, and resilience, allowing young people to channel their emotions and frustrations constructively. Subcultures that promote positive values, community participation, and social activism can contribute to the formation of a resilient society in times of war. They give young people the opportunity to advocate for change, raise awareness of important issues and work for a better future.
