The article provides a theoretical analysis of the main constructs and models of cognitive processes. It is considered that in the field of cognitive psychology, thinking acts as a mechanism for creating a new imaginary representation. Such a process determines the restructuring of information in the course of a difficult interaction between the imaginary attributes of judgment, abstraction, rationalization and problem solving. Studying the mechanisms that control a person's orientation when solving mental tasks, psychologists noted the presence of regular errors in thinking, or patterns, deviations in the judgments of individuals. It has been outlined that cognitive processes and skills are vital for processing new information and ensuring that the brain makes sense of the world and creates useful stores of data. But these processes always have an individual dimension, are adjusted and transformed according to personal attributes and inclinations, which is extremely important to take into account in order to obtain a complete picture of the deployment and functioning of cognitive processes as a whole. The main components of the architecture of thinking in the context of their systemic connections are defined. It has been demonstrated that the cognitive sphere of a person is a complex phenomenon, the interrelationship of individual elements of which has not yet been fully explored.
From this point of view, the relationship between cognitive styles and the types of mental activity inherent in individuals is of greatest interest. Emphasis is placed on the fact that cognitive styles are one of the global formations of the cognitive sphere and are manifested, respectively, in cognition, behavior, communication, learning and professional activity. Structural relations between cognitive processes and the effects of cognitive aberrations are also noted. Identified problems of individualization of cognitive processes as a multifactorial phenomenon. The dominant trend in the analysis of the problem of individualization of cognitive processes (which is indicated by the works of scientists noted in the article) is the particular explanation of the general components of cognitive processes, cognitive styles, and cognitive biases. However, the phenomenon of cognition itself is fundamentally non-linear, self-organizing, and multidimensional. Thus, a necessary dimension of these processes should be a complex coherent relationship between common elements of cognitive processes, cognitive styles, and cognitive biases.
The prospects of researching the phenomenon of individualization in the context of cognitive processes are indicated. It was also noted that the fundamental unsolved problem is the clarification of the coherent relationship between cognitions and prejudices, however, that the dominant trend in the analysis of the problem of individualization of cognitive processes (as indicated by the works of scientists noted in the article) is the particular explanation of the general components of cognitive processes, cognitive styles and cognitive prejudices.
