Abstract

The article is devoted to the empirical study of psychological factors of national identities’ development of Ukrainian students of higher education institutions of during the martial law. The purpose of the article is an empirical study of the psychological factors of the development of Ukrainian student youthnational identity during the martial law, given the settlement of residence (city or village) before entering the institution of higher education. The essence and the main factors in the development of personalities’ national identity are covered. The sample was presented with 165 respondents 17-22 years, which lived in different cities (84) and villages (81) of Ukraine before entering the higher education institution.

Empirically revealed high and average levels of national identity in all respondents who lived in the villages of the country, and most respondents who lived in the cities of Ukraine before entering the higher education institution. More respondents who lived in the villages of Ukraine before entering the institution of higher education, in the process of developing their national identity, attached the most important to such features of the nation as the state Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine. At the same time, more respondents who lived in the cities of Ukraine before entering a higher education institution, gave the most important in the process of developing their national identity to Ukrainian culture. In the process of development of its national identity, the main features of the nation (state Ukrainian language, history and culture of Ukraine) were given by more of the respondents who lived in the cities of Ukraine before entering a higher education and statistically insignificant less than the number of respondents who lived in the villages of Ukraine before entering a higher education institution. More respondents who lived in the cities of Ukraine before entering higher education, gave the least importance to such features of the nation as the state Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine in the process of developing its national identity. More respondents who lived in the villages of Ukraine before entering a higher education institution, in the process of developing their national identity gave the least importance to such features of the nation as the Ukrainian culture. The greater influence of the main features of the nation (state Ukrainian, history and culture of Ukraine) on the process of developing the national identity of respondents who lived in the villages of Ukraine before entering higher education, compared to respondents who lived in cities of Ukraine before entering higher education institutions, statistically confirmed.
