The article presents fragments of the respondents’ reflective self-expressions, in which the author’s reproductions of mandalas are used.
The attractiveness of the phenomenon of color, its significance, and perception in the choice of application are revealed. It was found that the use of color in art therapy sessions promotes the exploration of personal emotional space through the lens of individual worldview and disposition.
The paper analyzes a set of thematic drawings covering various aspects of a teenager’s life and attitude towards Self, others, and the world around them. It is noted that art therapy contributes to the subject’s expression in materialized (visualized) forms of the internal (reflective) mental content.
It is shown that color evokes a response in adolescents, forms appropriate emotions, and is associated with a certain experience. It is established that admiring the color scheme, adolescents tried to find out the nature of mandalas (to classify shades and their combinations), develop their own color, search for emotional content based on their worldview and dispositions and “read” the idea of associations and their impact on the sphere of emotional well-being through color
