Abstract

The article reviews the theoretical aspects of women's psychological well-being during wartime, aiming to identify the main influencing factors and determine key pathways for its development and support in contemporary Ukrainian realities. The concept of “psychological well-being” is examined as the realization of an individual’s potential under specific life circumstances, achieved through a dynamic balance between social demands and personal development. It has been found that the content and structure of psychological well-being are a matter of debate in modern psychological science. The analysis allowed us to identify several factors of women's psychological well-being in wartime conditions: social, psychological, material, etc. The theoretical study led us to conclude that achieving psychological well-being for women in wartime is based on utilizing their internal resources, which depends on their awareness and realization in the present moment, as well as the ability to develop self-determination skills in the future. An important issue is the connection between psychological well-being and post-traumatic growth, which can be determined by the traumas experienced by women in the Ukrainian realities of war. Future research perspectives focus on an in-depth study of the factors of psychological well-being and post-traumatic growth of women in wartime and the development of effective psychological interventions to achieve them.
