PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL FEATURES OF USING THE POSSIBILITIES OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICTs) FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF REMOTE LEARNING

Abstract

The article reveals the possibilities of using information and computer technologies for the introduction of distance learning forms. It is defined the objective necessity of introduction of distance learning technologies for providing training in domestic institutions of higher education of specialists meeting the requirements of the modern information society, while creating an enabling environment for the education of students combining work and study, of persons with disabilities, children, whose parents work in other countries, and the workers whose work is associated with regular business trips.

The advantages of using innovative electronic methods and the effectiveness of their use for distance communication between teachers and students, the formation of student groups for joint implementation of tasks and conducting scientific research are outlined. The specifics and possibilities for using separate multimedia technologies of the Internet for presenting lecture material, transferring tasks to students, forming electronic libraries, educational multimedia materials, virtual laboratories and workshops, interest groups, joint fulfillment of practical tasks and information exchange are characterized.

The possibility of using multimedia Internet technologies and electronic means of communication to solve learning problems by teachers of institutions of higher education is substantiated using interactive forms of instruction: case studies; round tables, debates, business games, trainings, videoconferences, «brainstorming», focus groups, role-playing games; group discussions, the method of projects. The possibilities of using information computer technologies for organizing distance learning within Ukraine, attracting students from other countries to the educational process of domestic educational institutions, as well as holding joint scientific conferences, symposiums and exchange of current information with the help of the Internet are generalized.
