THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PREREQUISITES OF THE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY VIOLATION AMONG STUDENTS

Abstract

This article analyzes the psychological prerequisites of academic integrity violation, particularly plagiarism among students. It is noted that informatization is the basis of the modern globalized world. And this statement is implemented in unlimited and fast access to information.This social phenomenon destructively manipulates minds of young people and create a misconception about the appropriating someone else's thoughts possibility. Article defined that psychological factors that are associated with the system of moral values contribute to plagiarism. The results of an empirical study of the psychological prerequisites for the development of student integrity and the prevention of plug-in are analyzed. It has been established that the majority of students use plagiarism in typical situations as conditional. At the same time, academic integrity is considered as prerequisite of an effective state and they understand the content of the concept of «plagiarism».

The students’ creativity should be developed in higher schools as a component of personality. This allows them to overcome internal barriers to the development of creative potential, stimulating creative activity and the creation of an independent creative product. The development of personality’s creative potential becomes today an urgent task of civilization at the stage of global transformations.
